HARTFORD, Conn., Sept. 8, 2009 – Geezeo (www.geezeo.com), a provider of a white-label, online personal financial management and social networking system to community financial institutions, named Bryan Clagett as chief marketing officer to drive Geezeo’s global marketing and sales efforts.
Prior to joining Geezeo, Clagett was the executive vice president of client development at a Hampton,Va.-based marketing communications firm that supports the brand communication needs of financial institutions. Before this, Clagett worked as vice president of marketing and e-commerce for a New Jersey federal credit union for eight years, where he served on the executive leadership team, served on the Digital Insight’s Advisory Board and served on the Credit Union Executive Society (CUES).
Before his entry into the credit union industry, Clagett worked in marketing and product management for a Princeton, N.J.-based bank, where he directed the organization’s retail banking sales incentive program and managed deposit-based product development.
“Bryan’s marketing expertise and financial background helps establish Geezeo as a leading software services provider in the financial services industry,” said Peter Glyman, co-founder of Geezeo.
Clagett earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Henniker, N.H.-based New England College.

Had a great time last week joining the team over at Continuity Engine. I got to be a guest on the hit online tv show ControlTV.
James and Sonya were a lot of fun to hang with. We talked about how Personal Finance Management (PFM) can help Credit Unions and Banks get closer to their members/customers. A major theme was how integrating these tools into their online banking experience can keep members/customer from using 3rd party PFM’s that could jeopardize and commoditize their relationship.
Continuity Engine is an awesome new start up, founded by veteran entrepreneur Andy Greenawalt. Continuity is kind of like the Apple App Store for FI Compliance Policies and Procedures. Service/software providers like Geezeo can create compliance documents that can be made available through Continuity Engine as Action Packs making it simple for FIs to stay in compliance. Very cool stuff.
It’s seems that Connecticut is becoming a little hot bed for FinTech companies….that’s awesome.
Oh by the way…here’s a nice pic I got of Sonya and Jim. Apparently beer is ceremonial following every filiming of ControlTv. I knew I liked these guys!
Good or bad?
Would I want to bank there b/c they’ll be careful with my money, or will they be stingy and charge me loads of fees?
